Colours can tell a lot about you! ;)

Hello everyone!

Today I thought to write to you about colours and the messages they convey to us and others!

This is not just fun to read but it could help you select the right outfit for a special event. Knowing what each colour means or reflects about you might make you decide for example not to wear red for a job interview but rather grey or black!

So before continuing to read, think now which is your most favorite colour and which is your least then check their meanings below... may be you find out why you like or hate a colour then ;)

Dareen Hakim.. A Bag with a Message!



Hi everyone...

 

As I was looking around this season's bags.. I came across this name "Dareen Hakim". What attracted me is that her bags are so trendy and modern yet they have a lot of authenticity and tradition. I love this mixture! I have always been fascinated by the jewellery of "Azza Fahmy" mostly cause of the Arabic poetry verses engraved in them, they had a message. So with Azza Fahmy, jewellery became more than just a beautiful ornament.. They said something to me or to their owner... they had a meaning!

 

It is the same idea here.. only that it is the first time I see it in a bag! The bags are so cool they come in different shapes and sizes really modern with amazing colours! But then again what makes them special is their inscription with the arabesque calligraphy.

 

What I also realised is that you can customise the bag, you can choose the leather kind, the color, The metal plaque and finally the inscription! So you can create a "one of a kind bag"! How special is this?!!!

 

It is really worth checking ladies and gentlemen! If you are looking for a special gift for your girlfriend, wife, mother, sister or your best friend. I am sure you can't go wrong with a Dareen Hakim bag!

 Hi Ladies!

I just thought to share with you a Smart-Casual look that I created myself ;) My drive here was the shoes below. I liked a lot the mixture of the Leo-print with Fuchsia (Pink). BAGS fever!!! My top picks F/W 12-13



I have been scanning this season's bags for a while now... No wonder as I am a "bags freak"!!!:)) I must admit I am very weak in front of bags..! I always believed one should mix his outfit between different budget-brands... But bags are this one item for which I could spend a big chunk of money while being convinced! I think a bag can enhance a lot your look and be your one and only statement accessory!

 

So originally I thought of picking five or 10 bags max to post to you here... but eventually it turned out to be much more :)))

Wanna look slimmer? Get one of these optical illusion dresses!

What is an optical illusion dress? It is a dress that has lines (curved or straight) with few blocks of colours, used to enhance the body shape. They tend to make the eyes travel vertically due to the introduction of a line. Therefore gives this illusion of a slimmer look!

The ones I am posting below are perfect if you seek to enhance your breast, thinning your waist, and make yourself curvy at the right places! It fits mostly to the Hourglass, Pear and Straight shapes. NO GO for the Apple shape as it makes their shoulders look even wider!

The optical illusion dress has been seen a lot in the Spring/Summer 2012 and this trend is continuing now in the Fall/Winter 2012-13.

Many celebrities have been using these dresses to accentuate their curves and femininity. The latest was the twilight star Kristen Stewart who was spotted few days ago wearing one of those magical dresses.

If you like this dress you have several options available now in the shops:

1- Stella McCartney dress: is high budget, perfect for the Pear body shape as it eases at the waist and gives a slimmer look to the lower part of the body due to its wide hem. It also help shoulders look bigger and define the asset (the waist). It would also work for the hourglass and straight shapes. This dress has a smart casual look. Could be dressed mornings and evenings.

2- Zara dress: is low-medium budget, would work for the Pear, Straight and Hourglass body shapes. What I love about this dress is its leather sleeves. Combining leather with other fabrics in one garment is very trendy this season.

3- Victoria Beckham dress: is high budget, perfect for straight and hourglass shapes (preferably not for the extreme Pear shape due to its taped pencil hem). This one is a great cocktail dress.

Isabel Marant ..conquering the world with her shoes!

Isabel Marant is a french house of Fashion founded in 1994 by Isabel Marant. The brand is considered to be the ultimate role model for Parisian chic. Beside her clothes collections that are admired by many, the highlight for me is her footwear. Of which I picked three designs to speak about here.

 

First she reshaped the footwear world with The trendy "Wedge Sneakers" which created a massive hype around it. Marant wedge sneakers are the most beloved ones among many celebrities.
