The Boyfriend Hype

Hi everyone,

It has been a long time since I shared with you something here. I have been quite busy lately working on couple of new projects to grow the services of La Giulietta styling. Stay tuned and you'll know all about it quite soon ;)

Today I want to talk to you about the "boyfriend" hype in the fashion industry.

I bet you have been hearing or reading a lot lately about boyfriend jackets, boyfriend jeans ect..

In fact a boyfriend style is any style of women's clothing that was inspired from men's garment. Yes so it is ;)

This hype started up in 2009 when Katie Holmes appeared once wearing Tom Cruise's slouchy jeans after a Broadway rehearsal. Since then the whole world followed that trend! So the origin of boyfriend fashion is actually borrowing and wearing your boyfriend's clothes. this trend is all about wearing clothes that look a size too big for the wearer.

OK now let me show you some of the most popular Boyfriend styles.

Hope you'll find that useful!

xx

A history of the little balck dress!

Hello dear friends and fans!

I found this interesting documentary about the history of the FAMOUS "Little Black Dress" and thought to share it with you! I know that lots of people love history, but this could be also very insightful for the real fashionistas ;)

And always remember "One is never over- or under-dressed with a little black dress" Karl Lagerfeld.

Hope you'll all like it.

Love,
Rania

Some tips & looks for the plus size beautiful ladies.

Hello beautiful ladies,

I am actually making this post, to help every one of us. Most of us have areas in our bodies which we like to show (these are called your assets) and areas that we like to show LESS (our imperfections) This is normal we aren't perfect, and I am the first on the list!

Now, I would like to show you some looks that play around this topic very well!
Come have a round with me :)

Casual jackets:
Left look: elongates the the neck, widens the shoulder and play very well on minimizing the busts. The fact that it is longer in the back not only is trendy but also perfect if you want to cover that area.

Right look: This look is good to be used if you don't have very full busts. It surely accentuates the shoulders. I love the combination of the jacket and top together where the top is strapless/loose yet the jacket is tight more defining to her assets (her shoulders, waist and upper half of the body)

Cocktail dresses:
The V neckline is perfect if you want to minimize your busts and elongate your neck. if you have a small waist that you want to show go for the left look, if you would rather hide that area go for the right look with the famous empire style.
Please always watch the length of the dress! I would advise you to have it either by the knee or simply floor length.

Casual dresses:
There are many varieties available here, those two examples are perfect if you have a defined waist. Materials as you see are quite flowing and comfi yet not extra fine!

Business look:
Left: Watch that you wear your chemise outside of your skirt and trousers. Wear trousers that are having either an A shape or simply going straight down, this plays very well if you have fuller thighs or legs.
Right look: beautifully defining the waistline. Make sure you have no details by the busts if want them to look smaller. A shape skirt is perfect for fuller thighs and legs. Please again watch the skirt length it should stop by your knees or longer.

That cool going-out trendy look:
I will give you one tip here: simply copy it!!! :)))) this is gorgeous!

And finally ladies, I want to leave you with those words which I truly believe in....
" THE MOST IMPORTANT THING A GIRL WEARS IS HER CONFIDENCE"

So be confident, beauty comes from within.

Hope you enjoyed it. xx

La Giulietta Styling Consultancy: Turning from Passion to Action!

Hi everyone,

As many of you know, I have been fond of colours, fashion and styling since young age. Though my past career wasn’t in that field, I finally started to follow my dream! First step was to enhance my talent with professional knowledge so I became an accredited stylist by London College of Fashion and by Zurich’s most reputable Colour, Style and Image School “Koloristika”. Second step was to enrich my talent and education with practical experience, which I have gained by giving colour and style consultations in Switzerland and Egypt. In addition, I started up my own Fashion blog La Giulietta.

My aim is to make a turn-around in the styling concept. I want to turn You into Your own stylist. Through my Colour and Style consultancy session, you will learn all about your most fitting colours, style of clothes, fabrics, prints and accessories. In some hours you’ll discover a lot more about yourself. I won’t let you leave the session empty handed, you will receive a customized personal file with all the details we have discussed and your personal colour palette too.
A Stylist is NOT ONLY for celebrities and prominent people. A stylist is someone who has the talent and the knowledge to help EVERY woman feel like a star and learn to become her own stylist!
So ladies, if you are interested in knowing more about that, I will be offering the following consultation services:
  1. Personal Colour Analysis
Where you will learn about the colours that fit you the most and make YOUR face the centre of attraction and not your outfit!

Session duration is 1.5 hour.

2.     Personal Style Analysis

Through your face features and body structure, you will discover with me your different styles. Each one of us has a main dominant style but also 1 or 2 side styles. You will learn here all about your fashion style, your most fitting fabrics, prints and accessories. I will also advise you on how to accentuate your best physical features and refine areas that are less flattering.

Session duration is 2 hours.

Additional services:

3.     Personal Shopping Experience

I will accompany you shopping. Help you pick out of the new fashion trends what suits you best in terms of styles and colours.

4.     Wardrobe Workout

I will help you sort out our personal wardrobe. Selecting with you the items you should keep and those you should remove for being outdated or unflattering to your shape. Advise you on how to combine garments, find what is missing and create with you some outfits.

Say goodbye to hesitation while shopping, the waste of money and time cause finally you will become your own personal stylist!
The services will be provided in English and in German both in Egypt and in Switzerland.
If you are interested to discover more about yourself and refresh your look, book your appointment at lagiuliettastylingconsultancy@gmail.com

The one Desire...New Fragrance by D&G!

Hi everyone!

It has been a while since I wrote you here... Many things have been happening lately, I was away for 2 months then once back I started my new colours & style analysis course (Which is VERY interesting)!!!

And finally I found one good topic to share with you! As some of you know my first blog post was about "Manifesto" perfume by YSL which was my pick for this winter. Last week, I found my summer fragrance ;)

Please meet "The one desire" by Dolce and Gabbana :) This scent is so fresh yet so present. It has a beautiful combination of a citrusy blend of bergamot, mandarin, lychee, lily of the valley, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood and musk.

“This is for the woman who wants to feel unique, beautiful and sensual. She owns the room when she enters. She’s not just noticed, she attracts the attention of everybody and is sexy but not vulgar"
P&G Prestige vice president Luigi Feola

So if you are that kind of woman that D&G is envisaging here... then you MUST check out this perfume! Otherwise keep searching for your pick.. for I found mine ;))

Have a lovely day,

Rania
